Classic Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 15 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1.5 cups pasta water

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, add olive oil over medium/high heat and add chopped onions for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • In the same skillet, add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Break meat up with a spatula and cook until browned.
  • Drain excess grease or soak up with a paper towel.
  • Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, Worcestershire, parsley, oregano and basil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine and then bring to mild boil.
  • Once boiled, add pasta water and turn heat to low.
  • Let simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Serve over spaghetti noodles and enjoy!
